Welcome!!

You have been invited to visit a new Blog called "Travels With Phyllis & Barry!

This is the inaugural edition and you will readily recognize my errors!! Because our visit Sunday to Lake Limestone is the latest subject on the camera, it was chosen to serve as my guinea pig. The first lesson learned is that the "posts" go on top of one another on the blog page so my sequence of pictures and comments are backward...you should start from the bottom and work your way to the top!!~ Most frustrating is that I suspect there is a way to re-order the posts or entries but I don't know how.

If you want to follow our up coming travels to far away places, make this blog site one of your favorites so it will be easy to navigate to and from.

I also know that you can add comments to the various postings and we will certainly look forward to your comments...but you'll have to figure out how to do it. Probably has something to do with clicking on the word: comments

Good luck and enjoy everyone!!

Barry & Phyllis

PS: I did a blog before Chris....ain't that great?

The front lakeside porch is fun outdoor living while being close to the action out in the yard or in the house. The windows to the right are in a front bedroom. A full bath is located between the two downstairs bedrooms on that north side. The 2 dormer windows on the left add natural light to the great room and the loft over the dining room/kitchen. The right dormer provides light for the kids multi-bunk bedroom upstairs. There is also a full bath upstairs.

The handsome visitor does not come with the house!

The lakeside porch windows offer a perfect view of the 130 foot deep front yard and the lake. The house and additional building lot to the right face east and are situated on a cove with the main body of the lake to the left.

Now you see the entry from the driveway and a full view of the bar and kitchen with domestic Mo making lunch.
The great room is deceivingly spacious with cathedral ceilings and three couches in front of the limestone fireplace provide plenty of seating for family games.

Todd is seated at the dining table. Behind him is the rear entry door and kitchen.

Lake Limestone Living

Mo and Todd, Kristie and Jeff Rogers have partnered on a lake house and some land on undereused Lake Limestone in Marquez, Texas about 2 hour drive from Cypress.

Phyllis and I visited it for the first time Sunday and were favorably impressed. "It's the closest thing to Maine that we could find," said Todd.
